Pink Faun USB bridge V2
The Pink Faun USB bridge V2 is an evolutionary and partly revolutionary iteration of the V1 version - introducing the all-new Pink Faun USB Bridge v2 - crafted to elevate your audio experience to new levels.
At the core of the Pink Faun USB Bridge v2 lies the AS-media ASM3142 chipset, a redesigned clock circuitry, new firmware, and an improved power supply section. New on the USB bridge v2 is a high-retention USB connector ensuring a rock-solid, link between your USB cable and the Pink Faun USB Bridge.
As is well known, Pink Faun has a very high standard when it comes to power supply design. The improved power supply circuitry on the USB bridge v2 is designed around the low dropout LT1963A regulators (40µVRMS - 10Hz to 100kHz). In addition to fast transient response, the LT1963A regulators have very low output noise which makes them ideal for sensitive RF supply applications.
The USB bridge v2 can be powered with 5v through the LP-4 Molex connector or with an external 5v power supply, the external DC-input is 5.5/2.5mm barrel center positive. When an external power supply is connected the USB bridge v2 switched automatically to the external power supply and cutting off any power from the LP-4 Molex.
New on the USB bridgev2 is a microcontroller with our own firmware. The microcontroller checks the connected voltage before switching on and only starts the USB bridge v2 when the voltage is correct and stable. This is especially important when using an external power supply, as it sometimes happened that an incorrect (too high) voltage is connected which can damage the bridge.
