How can I clean the stainless steel enclosures? |
Fingers leave marks on stainless steel. Mostl of the time they can be removed by gently rubbing witha clean dry cotton cloth. If they are really dirtly there are certain stainless steel polishes commercially available. If you cannot find them, please ask us, we can supply them for you. |

Can I try different tubes? |
All Pink Faun products are designed for operation with certain types of tubes. These types are noted in the manual. You can always try equivalent types and different brands of these tubes. If you are uncertain if they will fit in your amplifier, please contact us before trying. Although we think we choose the best tubes available, mostly our amplifiers can be very easily modified for other types of drivers and power tubes. Our 300B Monoblocks for example are installed for the type that is use in it standardly (on purchase). Other types and brands of 300B can be different, for example with higher plate voltages, currents and outputs. The amplifiers can be adjusted for that, however you need to be technically qualified to do this. If you want to do it, please ask us how, we will help you or your technician. |

How do I know when a tube is at the end of its life. |
It is very hard to hear. Mostly tubes change very slowly and you get used to the sound of them. You hear they are worn out when you put in a new and and it sounds suddenly much better. Sound of old tubes mostly gets a bit muffled, not as dynamic as before, less control and detail. Best way to know the state of a tube is to test the tube on a tube tester, maybe at a local tube dealer, or with us. |
