The Pink Faun Thalia is a floorstanding speaker, using a 12" 98dB co-axial neodynium magnet driver. This speaker is very easy to drive, even with low power amplifiers like single-ended 2A3 or 300B. And with its 150 Wrms maximum continuously input power it is capable of very high sound pressure levels with higher power amplifiers. It can play in a small room, but also easily will fill large rooms with music. Because of its very fast speed, it shows already very much detail even at very low music levels. High output is done easily without any compression.

The Thalia has a very extensive inside construction. Special care has been taken to avoid standing waves inside and in the enclosure walls through the placement and shapes of the stiffening boards and the special shape of the speaker. This way the speaker needs only very little damping which results in a very fast reacting enclosure. Bass response is very fast and controlled, and the compression driver gives very precise voices and crisp clear high frequencies.

The Thalia is made out of high quality Birch plywood. In the speaker filters only the best parts like paper oil capacitors, Allen Bradley resistors and Tritec inductors are used. The filters are casted in raisin to avoid any vibration of the parts. They are mounted inside the socket of the speaker, topped off with silver sand, which adds weight for extra stability. Internal wiring is non-inductive mil-spec tin-plated copper teflon wire, like we also use inside our Pink Faun cables. Tweeter level can be adjusted from 0 to -5dB in 1dB steps to make it possible to adjust to personal taste and to compensated distance in your listening room.

The speaker can be delivered in any finish, like many types of fineer, high quality paint, or any other finish at your choice
